Chelsea have reignited their pursuit of Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, following his electrifying performance against Rwanda in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 26-year-old forward, on loan from Napoli, delivered a stunning brace as Nigeria cruised past Rwanda in Kigali, drawing fresh attention from several Premier League giants. According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all vying for Osimhen’s signature, but a move to London reportedly holds the greatest appeal for the prolific striker.
Chelsea came close to signing Osimhen last summer but opted to delay their bid. With new manager Enzo Maresca now at the helm and the Blues sitting in 4th place—just a point ahead of Manchester City—there is renewed optimism that a top-four finish could strengthen their case for landing the 2023 Serie A Golden Boot winner.
Napoli are said to value Osimhen at approximately €75 million, setting the stage for an intense summer transfer battle. Despite the mounting speculation, Osimhen remained tight-lipped when asked about his future after Nigeria’s victory, playfully avoiding the question.
For now, the Super Eagles will be counting on their talisman to maintain his focus ahead of a crucial World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
