Inaki Williams Delivers on Goal Promise in Black Stars’ Dominant Win

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams has expressed his joy after scoring in the Black Stars’ commanding 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Athletic Bilbao striker netted his second goal for Ghana, helping the team secure a crucial win at the Accra Sports Stadium. The emphatic victory propelled the Black Stars to the top of Group I, strengthening their chances of qualifying for the prestigious global tournament next year.

Williams, alongside Antoine Semenyo and Jordan Ayew, gave Ghana a comfortable 3-0 lead by halftime. The Black Stars continued their dominance in the second half, with Mohammed Salisu and Ernest Nuamah adding two more goals to seal the impressive result.

Prior to the match, the former Spain international had vowed to score on home soil, and he delivered on his promise. Taking to social media, Williams shared his excitement, posting:

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have already arrived in Morocco ahead of their crucial clash against Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025. A victory would solidify Ghana’s position at the top of Group I and edge them closer to World Cup qualification.

Madagascar, trailing Ghana by just two points, will be equally determined to claim three points and regain the group lead, setting the stage for a thrilling encounter at Stade Mimoun Al Arsi in Al Hoceima.
