Inaki Williams Inspires Black Stars to Aim Higher After Crushing Chad

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams has rallied his Black Stars teammates to stay focused and push for greater success following their emphatic 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Williams, who plays for Athletic Bilbao, played the entire match on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium and finally ended his international goal drought by scoring a crucial goal. The commanding win propelled Ghana to the top of Group I, strengthening their hopes of securing a spot at the next World Cup.

The Black Stars dominated from the start, with goals from Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, and Jordan Ayew giving Ghana a comfortable lead at halftime. The second half saw Mohammed Salisu and Ernest Nuamah add their names to the scoresheet, sealing a comprehensive victory.

Despite the impressive performance, Williams urged his teammates to remain determined as they prepare for their next challenge against Madagascar.

“Said and done. Let’s go for more. Thank you all for the support,” the former Spain international wrote on social media, expressing gratitude to fans while calling for continued effort.

The Black Stars have already arrived in Morocco ahead of their crucial clash with Madagascar on Monday. A win in this fixture will further solidify their position at the top of Group I and enhance their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

However, Madagascar, just two points behind Ghana, will be eager to claim victory and reclaim the group lead, making Monday’s match a vital encounter for both sides.
