Jordan Ayew Confident as Black Stars Gear Up for Chad Clash

Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has expressed confidence in Ghana’s readiness to secure victory against Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana, four-time African champions, will host Chad on Friday, March 20, at the Accra Sports Stadium in a crucial Matchday five fixture. With his elder brother André Ayew absent, Jordan will lead the team and has assured fans of their determination to claim all three points.

Speaking after the team’s second training session in Accra on Tuesday, Ayew thanked supporters for their unwavering belief and vowed to turn things around.

“My teammates and I can assure you that we are ready for the battle. We know we are in a difficult situation, but we will turn it around,” he said. “The first task is on Friday, and we will make sure to get the three points. Seeing the fans’ support gives us even more belief that it will be a positive result.”

After the Chad encounter, Ghana will travel to Morocco to face Madagascar on Monday, March 24, in their Matchday six fixture. The Black Stars are currently second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros.
