Sports Minister Kofi Adams Confident in Black Stars’ Readiness for World Cup Qualifiers

As the Black Stars prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has expressed full confidence in the team’s ability to secure victories against Chad and Madagascar.

After missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Ghana is determined to get back on track, and Adams believes the squad is mentally and physically prepared for the challenge ahead.

“I want to call on Ghanaians to support the team. I know we’re going to win both games,” he told 3sports. “The players are well energized, well prepared, and psychologically ready for these matches.”

The Black Stars will host Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco for their clash with Madagascar on March 24. With nine points in Group I—level with Comoros—these games are crucial in shaping Ghana’s qualification hopes.

Meanwhile, the team has officially opened camp in Accra, with their first training session set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium. The road to the World Cup is heating up, and Adams is confident Ghana will rise to the occasion.
