Kevin Danso is still basking in the glory of Tottenham Hotspur’s historic Europa League victory, marking the club’s first major trophy in 17 years. The Austrian-Ghanaian defender played a part in Spurs’ 2-1 win over Manchester United in the final held in Bilbao, coming on in the final ten minutes to help secure the win after Brennan Johnson’s decisive goal.
Danso, currently on loan from French club RC Lens, joined Tottenham in January with high hopes — and a clear mission: to win silverware. That dream became a reality on a memorable European night as the North London side not only lifted the Europa League trophy but also booked a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Taking to social media after the match, an elated Danso posted: “Living the dream. Europa League winners 2025.” He followed it up with a heartfelt message: “Europa League champions!! 40+ years in the making, forever grateful to be part of this great team. Glory to God.”
With his loan spell set to end on June 30, 2025, Tottenham have the option to make his stay permanent — a decision that may be influenced by his contributions to this landmark season.
