Maxwell Konadu Eyes Return to South African Football Next Season

Veteran Ghanaian coach Maxwell Konadu has hinted at a potential return to South African football next season, following his departure from Black Leopards.

Currently without a club, the former assistant coach of Ghana’s Black Stars disclosed in an interview with Sportsblog247.com that his agent is actively in talks with multiple clubs in South Africa. Although Konadu didn’t reveal specific names, he expressed confidence about resuming his coaching career in the region.

“My agent has been calling to check up on me, and while I’m back home in Ghana, we’re monitoring how things develop,” he said. “I’ve spoken to several clubs, but it’s best we wait for the season to wrap up before anything is finalized.”

Konadu, who previously led sides like Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, added that the strong interest and his agent’s presence in South Africa make a return likely. “Since my agent is based there, it’s clear that most offers are coming from that direction. So yes, I may move back next season.”

With his wealth of experience and familiarity with the South African football scene, many clubs could benefit from Konadu’s tactical expertise in the upcoming campaign.
