Nigerian afrobeats sensation Patoranking brought his signature energy to Borussia Dortmund’s camp in the U.S. as the German giants prepare for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The award-winning artist, known for hits like “My Woman, My Everything”, paid a visit to the Florida Blue Training Centre—a facility co-owned by Inter Miami and Lionel Messi—just before Dortmund’s crucial Group F clash against South American champions Fluminense.
The highlight of the visit came when Patoranking exchanged a warm handshake with Karim Adeyemi, the Dortmund forward with strong Nigerian roots hailing from Ibadan. Adeyemi wasn’t the only star in attendance—the singer also took time to pose for photos with top talents including Sehrou Guirassy, Carney Chukwuemeka, Felix Nmecha, and Julian Brandt.
Patoranking, a proud Harvard Business School alumnus (Class of 2024), has never hidden his love for football. A passionate Super Eagles supporter, he backed the team to a bronze medal finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. Now, he’s set to cheer for Niko Kovač’s Dortmund squad as they aim to conquer Group F.
Die Schwarzgelben will face Fluminense—led by Brazilian veteran Thiago Silva—at the iconic MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, before heading to TQL Stadium in Cincinnati for their next two group fixtures: against Mamelodi Sundowns and Ulsan HD FC, the two-time AFC Champions League winners from South Korea.
The atmosphere is charged, the stars are out, and with Patoranking on the sidelines, Dortmund’s American adventure just got a whole lot more vibrant.
