From Rivals to Teammates: Richarlison Welcomes Kudus to Tottenham in Style ⚽

What once sparked tension on the pitch has now turned into a warm welcome off it. Tottenham Hotspur’s Brazilian star Richarlison has officially welcomed Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus to North London, putting past rivalries to rest.

Kudus joined Spurs from West Ham United in a £55 million switch, signing a long-term contract to bolster the squad ahead of a new era under coach Thomas Frank. The two fiery talents clashed memorably during a heated match last season that saw Kudus receive a red card and a five-game suspension following a flare-up with Spurs players — an incident that lingered in headlines.

However, with maturity and mutual respect now taking center stage, Richarlison posted a simple but powerful message shortly after the announcement: “Welcome to the Spurs family.” Spurs also released a short clip showing Kudus and defender Micky van de Ven sharing a cordial handshake, symbolizing a new chapter and unity within the team.

The 24-year-old Black Stars midfielder, previously of Ajax and West Ham, had been a transfer target for the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea, but Spurs won the race. Kudus netted 19 goals in 80 appearances for the Hammers and now sets his sights on the UEFA Super League opener against PSG.

From red cards to red carpets — the Kudus era at Tottenham begins.
