Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has addressed the growing speculation surrounding youngster Rico Lewis, who has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest.

Speaking after City’s latest fixture, Guardiola hinted at Lewis’ future: “I think he’s going to stay, I think. He told me that! Today, I think he’s going to stay, but I don’t know what’s going to happen…”

While Forest remain keen on securing the versatile full-back, Guardiola’s words suggest City are confident of keeping hold of their academy product — though he admitted that in football, nothing is ever certain.
