CAF Confederation Cup: Kotoko Dangle Bonus Carrot Ahead of Kwara United Showdown

Asante Kotoko have promised their players a handsome reward if they seal qualification to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup at the expense of Nigeria’s Kwara United.

The Ghanaian champions hold a slim 4–3 advantage from a pulsating first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday. With the decisive return fixture set for this weekend at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, the Porcupine Warriors are aiming to finish the job.

Club Communications Director Sarfo Duku revealed on Nhyira FM that a special financial package awaits the squad if they advance. “There is always a winning bonus even in the Ghana Premier League, but qualifying from the preliminary stage will add some appreciable amount of money,” he explained.

Duku added that progression is a must for the Kumasi giants. “Asante Kotoko is ahead of Kwara United on any platform, so they should be able to account for them. The good news is that the match will be played on a neutral ground, so there is a significant advantage for us,” he said confidently.
