Bibiani Gold Stars are turning their biggest night into a grand football festival.
The newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions have announced that fans can enjoy free entry to every section of the Accra Sports Stadium—except the VIP stands—when they face Algerian heavyweights JS Kabylie in their maiden CAF Champions League fixture.
Chief Executive Akwasi Adu explained that the club wants to fill the stadium with a sea of yellow and green, even though Accra is far from their Bibiani roots. “This is a moment for the whole nation to rally behind us,” he said, noting that only the VIP area will have tickets on sale.
Gold Stars had hoped to play closer to home at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium, but CAF inspections ruled it unfit for international duty. Their beloved Dun’s Park in Bibiani also fell short of the required standards, forcing the team to settle in the capital.
The champions enter the clash brimming with confidence after a strong pre-season and a 2-1 opening-day victory over Bechem United. For Gold Stars, the goal is clear: turn Accra into a fortress and make their continental debut a night to remember.
