Michelle Alozie Urges Nigerians to Back Super Falcons Like the Eagles

Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has called on Nigerian football fans to extend the same level of passion and support they show the Super Eagles to the women’s national team.

Her appeal came after Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday. Tolu Arokodare’s decisive strike in the second half sealed the win for the Eagles.

Taking to her official X handle, the Houston Dash star reminded fans not to forget the Falcons, who have consistently brought glory to the nation.

“All the fans showing up for the Super Eagles game, don’t forget to show up for the Super Falcons too,” Alozie wrote.

Alozie, a key figure in the squad that triumphed at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, stressed the importance of equal support. The Falcons famously staged a remarkable comeback from two goals down to beat Morocco in the final, lifting their record 10th continental title.

Her message highlights a growing call for parity in the way Nigerians celebrate and support their male and female football teams.
