Italian Serie C side Unione Sportiva Livorno have officially confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Moses Odjer. The 29-year-old arrives as a free agent after parting ways with Ascoli earlier this summer.
Odjer, once a standout for Ghana’s U20 national team, has penned a one-year contract that runs until 2026. The move reunites him with Italian football fans who have followed his steady career across the lower divisions.
In a statement, Livorno welcomed their new recruit:
“Moses Odjer is a new player for Unione Sportiva Livorno 1915! Born in 1996, he has made over 250 appearances in Serie B and Serie C with Catania, Salernitana, Palermo, and Foggia. Last season, he featured for Pianese before joining Ascoli. Welcome, Moses!”
Known for his combative style in midfield despite his smaller stature, Odjer brings vast experience to Livorno’s ranks. His addition is seen as a morale boost for the newly-promoted side as they prepare for a challenging Serie C campaign.
While he is yet to make his senior debut for the Black Stars, Odjer remains a respected figure in Ghanaian football, having represented the U20s earlier in his career.
