Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston has spoken out about what he describes as the sabotage of his proposed coaching appointment with the Uganda national team.
Kingston, who has been building his coaching career since retiring from professional football, revealed that circumstances beyond his control prevented the move from materialising, despite advanced discussions and optimism around the role. He hinted at internal interference and behind-the-scenes actions that ultimately derailed the opportunity.
The ex-Black Stars winger expressed disappointment over the episode but maintained that it has strengthened his resolve to continue pursuing coaching opportunities at the highest level. He also stressed the importance of transparency and professionalism in football administration across the continent.
