Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has expressed his desire to represent the Black Stars, insisting that every Ghanaian player deserves an opportunity to wear the national colours.
The in-form striker has been a standout performer for the Porcupine Warriors this season following his return from a short loan stint with Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi. His consistent displays have sparked conversations about a potential national team call-up.
Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Amoah admitted that featuring for the Black Stars would be a dream fulfilled.
“Every player would be happy to be part of the Black Stars. I’m a Ghanaian, so if I’m part of the Black Stars team, I think I’ll be very happy,” he said.
The Kotoko attacker also stressed his readiness to embrace the challenge if handed the opportunity.
“As far as I’m Ghanaian and playing, I believe everyone deserves a chance. So if the opportunity comes for me to play, I’ll be ready to take on that task,” he added.
Amoah is expected to lead the line for Asante Kotoko when they host arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the highly anticipated Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in their Matchday 22 fixture.
