Everton have confirmed the loan signing of highly rated forward Tyrique George from Chelsea, with the deal running until the end of the 2025/26 season and including an option to make the move permanent.
The 19-year-old England Under-21 international, who is of Ghanaian heritage, arrives at Goodison Park on deadline day as manager David Moyes looks to inject pace, creativity and attacking depth into his squad.
George will wear the number 19 shirt and could make his Everton debut this weekend when the Toffees travel to face Fulham in the Premier League.
Speaking after completing the switch, the London-born attacker described Everton as a “massive club” and pointed to Moyes’ reputation for nurturing young talent as a key factor behind his decision.
George joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight and steadily rose through the ranks, earning his senior debut during the 2024/25 season. That campaign marked a major breakthrough, as he played a prominent role in Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League triumph, starting eight matches en route to lifting the trophy.
He also featured in the Blues’ FIFA Club World Cup success later that summer.
On the domestic front, George made eight Premier League appearances in 2024/25, scoring his maiden top-flight goal against Fulham. This season, he has added to his experience with 11 appearances across competitions, scoring three goals, including one in the UEFA Champions League.
Having represented England at multiple youth levels, George is currently a regular member of the Under-21 national team.
His move to Everton is expected to offer him increased playing time while strengthening the club’s attacking options as they target a strong finish to the campaign.
