André Ayew has celebrated NAC Breda’s resurgence after the club secured back-to-back victories in the Eredivisie, boosting their fight against relegation.
The former Ghana captain played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s hard-fought 1-0 win over FC Volendam at the Rat Verlegh Stadion. It marked his second consecutive complete performance, underlining his growing influence within the squad.
Ayew has featured in every minute of NAC’s current winning run, bringing much-needed leadership and experience to a side battling at the lower end of the table. Notably, the club had not recorded consecutive league wins since December 2024 before his arrival — a sign of the immediate impact the 36-year-old has made.
Taking to Instagram after the victory, Ayew shared his excitement while keeping his focus firmly on the next challenge.
“Back-to-back wins. Stadium on fire. One team, one family. Focused on Friday,” he posted.
Having previously starred for Olympique de Marseille, West Ham United, and Swansea City, Ayew has made survival in the Dutch top flight his clear mission this season.
With renewed momentum on their side, NAC Breda now shift attention to their upcoming clash against Telstar as the fight to secure Eredivisie safety intensifies.
