🇬🇭 “We Want to Send a Message” – Antoine Semenyo Eyes Victory Against Austria

Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed strong confidence ahead of Ghana’s international friendly against Austria, stating the team is determined to secure a win and make a bold statement.

Ghana will face the European side on Friday, March 27, at the Ernst Happel Stadium in a key preparatory fixture ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking before the clash, Semenyo emphasized the team’s ambition and mindset, noting that victory is the clear objective as the Black Stars continue their build-up to the global tournament.

“We are preparing for the World Cup, and we want to make a statement. Hopefully, we can get the win,” he said.

Kickoff for the encounter is scheduled for 17:00 GMT, with Ghana aiming to build momentum before their next friendly against Germany in Stuttgart on March 30.

The Black Stars are eager to improve on their recent World Cup performances, having exited at the group stage in both 2014 in Brazil and 2022 in Qatar. With renewed focus and determination, the team hopes to leave a stronger impression on the global stage this time around.
