Otto Addo, head coach of the Ghana national team, has expressed firm confidence in his squad’s ability to secure a positive result against the Austria national team in their upcoming pre-World Cup friendly.
Speaking during Thursday’s pre-match press conference, Addo remained calm yet optimistic as the Black Stars gear up for the first of two important preparatory fixtures ahead of the global tournament.
He highlighted the strength and depth within his squad, stressing that in today’s football, any team has the potential to defeat another on a given day. According to him, belief and preparation will be key factors.
Addo also revealed that his technical team has carefully studied their opponents and developed a clear tactical approach, underlining Ghana’s strong desire to approach the match with a winning mindset.
While acknowledging the tough challenge that awaits in their next fixture against the German national team, the coach insisted that the team’s full attention remains on the clash with Austria.
The match will be the first meeting between Ghana and Austria since their 1-1 draw in March 2007, with both sides expected to deliver a competitive and purposeful performance as the World Cup draws closer.
