Newly committed Ghana international Marvin Senaya has shared his excitement after linking up with the Black Stars for the first time ahead of their friendly clash against Austria.
The AJ Auxerre defender took to social media platform X to express his gratitude and joy, describing his call-up as a special milestone in his career.
Senaya’s arrival in Vienna marks the end of a closely followed nationality decision, as the 25-year-old chose to represent Ghana over Togo, committing his international future to the Black Stars. The son of former Togolese international Yao Mawuko Senaya opted for his maternal roots after Ghana’s football authorities successfully secured his allegiance.
He joined the squad on Monday as preparations intensified for the upcoming friendlies against Austria and Germany, key fixtures in Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Having made 20 appearances and scored once this season for Auxerre, Senaya arrives in camp eager to make an immediate impression and justify his inclusion in the squad.
His message reflects both pride and anticipation, as he begins what he hopes will be a successful journey with the Black Stars on the international stage.
