Kaizer Chiefs: Three Attackers Linked, Six Players Set to Depart

In the latest update from Naturena, Kaizer Chiefs are making headlines as three prominent attackers have been linked to the club, while six players appear to be on their way out. With the January transfer window approaching, significant changes are expected for the Amakhosi squad.

Head coach Nabi is not satisfied with the current lineup, despite the team’s recent triumph in the Cufa Cup against Marumo Gallants, which they won 4-3 on penalties. He has made it clear that bolstering the squad is essential. “We still need to recruit, honestly. We need more signings to improve the team,” Nabi stated in an interview with Goal.

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to enhance their attacking options and have previously been linked with players such as Oswin Appollis, Asanele Velebayi, and Fiston Mayele. The club is reportedly preparing a more substantial offer for these striker targets as they look to revamp their offense.

On the other hand, the following players are likely to exit Naturena: Aden McCarthy, Thatayaone Dithlokwe, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, George Matlou, Christian Saille, and Ashley Du Preez. McCarthy is already deemed surplus to requirements, and there are suggestions that Ngcobo could be loaned out. Matlou also faces uncertainty regarding his future.

Saille managed to stay due to the club’s inability to secure a new attacker in time, but his future remains precarious unless he finds the back of the net frequently in the coming months. Du Preez also remains with the team after a reported R40 million offer from Portuguese side Vitoria SC was considered. However, the Chiefs management decided to hold off on the sale, contingent on signing new attackers with that funding.
