Broos Calls for Consistency as Bafana Bafana Prepares for Congo Clash

After Bafana Bafana’s stunning 5-0 victory over Congo in their Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier, coach Hugo Broos is demanding the same level of performance in the upcoming return fixture on Tuesday.

Bafana delivered a dominant display at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, but the team will face a new challenge on a synthetic pitch at Alphonse Massamba-Debat Stadium in Brazzaville. Broos remains confident, stating that his team is ready to adapt, whether the pitch requires a more physical approach or allows for their usual style of play.

The coach warned that Congo, humiliated in the previous match, would be out for revenge, adding that his team must stay mentally prepared. Broos has consistently emphasized total domination, which paid off in the first leg, and is now pushing for the same to secure all six points.

With three points in hand, Broos knows anything short of a win in the return fixture will not meet his expectations.
