Sanctions and Ban Possible as CAF Investigates Nigeria’s Boycott of Afcon Qualifier Against Libya

CAF’s Disciplinary Board is set to take action following Nigeria’s decision to boycott their second leg Afcon qualifier against Libya in Benghazi. The Super Eagles were held at an abandoned airport and faced travel issues, which led to their refusal to play due to security concerns. Despite Libya’s counterclaims, Nigeria filed a complaint with CAF, and sanctions against Libya may be on the horizon.
