Former GFA Vice President George Afriyie believes Kwesi Appiah may return as Black Stars coach in the future. Appiah, currently coaching Sudan, recently led his team to a 2-0 victory over Ghana in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. Afriyie highlighted Appiah’s ambition to enhance his coaching credentials by leading Sudan to both AFCON and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He suggested that if the Black Stars’ coaching role becomes vacant, Appiah might be considered for a third stint.
