Ghanaian midfielder Mukadas Abdul Samed made his long-awaited debut for FC Koper during a thrilling yet disappointing 4-3 loss to Primorje in the Slovenian PrvaLiga last Saturday. The 19-year-old, who joined Koper from EurAfrica in the Greater Accra division last month, started the match and played 56 minutes before being substituted.
After showing promise in three U19 league fixtures, Abdul Samed’s impressive performance in a recent friendly earned him a spot in the first team. Despite the defeat, he showcased his talent and earned praise from head coach Oliver Bogatinov. Reflecting on the experience, Abdul Samed expressed disappointment over the loss but remained hopeful for the team’s future. “We gave our maximum effort, but it wasn’t enough for a victory,” he said. “I’m grateful to the coach for my debut today, and I hope to help the team in more games.”
As FC Koper looks to bounce back in their PrvaLiga campaign, Abdul Samed’s contributions could be key in their upcoming matches.
