Finidi George Confirms Rivers United’s Interest in Brown Ideye Despite Financial Limitations

Rivers United head coach Finidi George has confirmed the club’s interest in signing former West Bromwich Albion striker, Brown Ideye, who is currently training with the team. Although Ideye is a free agent after leaving Kuwaiti side Al-Yarmouk, financial constraints may prevent the club from meeting his salary demands. Despite this, Finidi is keen on securing Ideye for his wealth of experience and leadership, which could benefit the younger players. Ideye’s potential return mirrors that of Ahmed Musa’s impactful stint with Kano Pillars. Rivers United currently tops the NPFL table after an unbeaten start to the season.
