Kenneth Sarpong Defends Andre Ayew Amid Black Stars Omission

Former Ghana midfielder Kenneth Sarpong has expressed his displeasure over Andre Ayew’s recent exclusion from the Black Stars squad. Ayew, a former captain and a key figure in the team, has been absent since June, missing crucial matches in both the 2026 World Cup and 2025 AFCON qualifiers. Sarpong criticized the treatment of Ayew, calling him a “patriotic player” whose presence could motivate the team during challenging times. Ayew, now playing for Le Havre, will be looking to make a comeback in the November qualifiers against Niger and Angola.
