AC Milan and AS Roma are reportedly eyeing a potential transfer battle over Nigerian international and Super Eagles defender Ola Aina, as his contract with Nottingham Forest is set to expire next summer. The 28-year-old, known for his adaptability and ability to play both right-back and left-back, has become a priority target for both Italian clubs, according to AS Roma Live via Mila Reports.
Aina, who has been a key figure at Forest since joining in 2023, made a strong impression in Serie A with Torino, where he appeared in 102 matches. His prior experience in Serie A, combined with his 64 Premier League appearances—including three for Chelsea—adds to his appeal.
AS Roma is reportedly keen to secure Aina regardless of coach Ivan Juric’s future at the club. Meanwhile, AC Milan views Aina as a potential successor for Davide Calabria, whose future remains uncertain. Both clubs may seek to negotiate a pre-contract agreement or an early transfer deal as January approaches.
