Michelle Klostermann, a German-born defender with Nigerian heritage, has decided to represent Nigeria’s Super Falcons, as reported by Sportblog247.com.
The 23-year-old, born to a Nigerian mother and German father, previously played for Germany at the U16 level. After discussions with former Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum, Klostermann set her sights on Nigeria and has now begun the process of obtaining a Nigerian passport.
Klostermann, who started her career with VfL Wolfsburg Women in 2017, also played for Hungary’s Ferencvaros and Germany’s SC Sand before joining VfL Bochum in 2024. Known for her attacking prowess from the backline, she scored six goals in 36 appearances with SC Sand. This season, she’s made seven appearances for Bochum in the 2-Frauen Bundesliga, with one start.
Her versatility as a left-back and left midfielder, coupled with her offensive skillset, offers the Super Falcons a fresh option in defence.
