Ghana international Alidu Seidu was awarded Player of the Match following Stade Rennes’ 1-0 triumph over Le Havre in Ligue 1. The Black Stars right-back started the match at Roazhon Park during the Week 9 fixture, contributing significantly to the team’s performance.
Rennes secured the win with a goal from Andrés Gómez in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, Seidu had to be substituted in the 78th minute due to a knock and will undergo a scan to assess the injury’s severity.
Despite not finishing the game, Seidu showcased his skills by completing 90% of his passes, winning 67% of his duels, and achieving a 100% success rate in tackles. His standout performance earned him the Player of the Match honour over fellow players Mikayil Faye and Andrés Gómez.
The 24-year-old defender has been a consistent presence for Rennes, featuring in all nine matches this season, and will aim to recover quickly to continue contributing to his team’s campaign.
