Super Eagles Striker Victor Boniface Initiates Rehabilitation at Bayer Leverkusen After AFCON Setback

Bayer Leverkusen’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has commenced the rehabilitation process at the club following his absence from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Boniface, initially selected in Nigeria’s 25-man squad, missed out on the tournament due to a groin injury.

Sharing images of his physiotherapy session post-surgery, Boniface revealed his commitment to recovery after a stellar start to his career at Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen. The striker had secured a spot in Jose Peseiro’s AFCON squad but had to withdraw just days before the competition commenced, with a groin injury sustained during training. Nice star Terem Moffi was subsequently called up to replace Boniface in the Super Eagles squad.
