In their bid to fortify the squad for the upcoming second transfer window, Asante Kotoko is reportedly setting their sights on Nsoatreman FC’s right-back, Emmanuel Kotei.
The 26-year-old defender has emerged as an indispensable figure for Nsoatreman FC, showcasing outstanding performances that have not gone unnoticed by Asante Kotoko.
Kotei’s noteworthy contributions, which include two assists in fifteen games, have solidified his reputation as one of the premier right-backs in the league.
The Porcupine Warriors are actively seeking to secure Kotei’s services to enhance their defensive capabilities with the goal of ascending to the top of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League table.
However, Nsoatreman FC is standing firm on their stance, indicating that they will not part with the player unless a reasonable transfer fee is put on the table, acknowledging Kotei’s pivotal role in their squad.
Presently occupying the seventh spot on the league table, Asante Kotoko envisions that the addition of Kotei could provide the much-needed defensive stability as they strive to climb the league standings. This move positions them to challenge opponents like Nsoatreman FC, currently holding the fifth position with 24 points after 15 games.
