Ghanaian midfielder Kelvin Ofori continued his impressive scoring streak on Saturday, propelling FK Spartak Trnava to a 2-0 win over MFK Skalica in the Slovakian Nike Liga.
Playing at the City Arena Trnava, Ofori opened the scoring in the 25th minute after a perfectly threaded pass from Czech midfielder Milos Kratochvil, capitalizing on Trnava’s dominant start. Just before the break, Nigerian forward Philip Azango doubled the lead with a well-taken goal, assisted by another Czech midfielder, Erik Daniel.
The win solidifies Spartak Trnava’s third-place position in the league standings, now with 30 points, though they remain seven points adrift of the top spot.
Ofori’s form this season has been exceptional, with the 23-year-old tallying seven goals in 12 league appearances and an additional goal in the Slovak Cup. His contributions have made him one of Trnava’s standout performers.
