Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo could be on his way to Anfield, as AFC Bournemouth is reportedly ready to accept offers for the in-form striker. According to Football Insider, Liverpool is among several top European clubs eyeing the 24-year-old following his impressive start to the season.
Semenyo has been tipped as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, despite interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United. However, sources suggest that Bournemouth is reluctant to part ways with the player mid-season, making a January move unlikely.
Pete O’Rourke, a senior correspondent at Football Insider, confirmed on the Inside Track podcast that the Cherries are open to facilitating the move should Semenyo express his desire to leave next summer.
Under manager Andoni Iraola, Semenyo has been a standout performer for Bournemouth, netting four goals and providing one assist in 12 games. His stellar form has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
After missing Bournemouth’s 3-2 loss to Brentford, Semenyo is expected to return to action when the Cherries face Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday.
