“Inaki Williams Celebrates a Decade of Excellence at Athletic Bilbao”

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams is celebrating a remarkable milestone: ten years of playing for his beloved hometown club, Athletic Bilbao. The Spain-born striker, who debuted for the Basque side on December 6, 2014, has become an iconic figure in the club’s history.

Now 30, Williams has made an incredible 441 appearances for Athletic, scoring 105 goals to secure his spot as the club’s 14th all-time top scorer. Known for his endurance and consistency, he has missed only three games over the last nine years, a testament to his resilience and dedication.

Reflecting on his decade-long journey, Williams took to social media to express his gratitude: “10 years fulfilling a dream. Remember where you started and where you are. Thank you all for joining me.”

His contributions to Athletic Bilbao have been monumental. Last season, Williams played a pivotal role in ending the club’s 40-year Copa del Rey drought, scoring vital goals to secure the coveted trophy.

This season, he has already scored three times in La Liga, as Athletic push for a top-four finish and a place in the UEFA Champions League.

Athletic Club also paid tribute to their star player with a heartfelt message: “Ten years since Inaki Williams’ official debut. How many moments by your side… and the ones we have ahead together! Step by step, writing with golden letters the history of this Athletic. We love you, Iñaki.”
