AC Horsens has officially promoted Ghanaian teenager Abdul Moro to their first team, recognizing the midfielder’s exceptional talent and rapid development since joining the club’s U19 side during the summer transfer window. The 18-year-old will join the senior squad starting January 2025.
Moro’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. In just six months, he has become a standout player for the U19 team, making 12 league appearances and impressing with his composure and ability to control games from midfield. His performances have not gone unnoticed by the club’s management, with sporting director Esben Hansen applauding the youngster’s impact.
“Firstly, it says something about the quality of our scouting when we can bring a player into the first-team squad after less than six months at the club,” Hansen remarked. “Despite his young age, Abdul Moro is a mature number six and a physical specimen who, with his overview and strong technique, is a skilled game distributor.”
Hansen added, “There is still great development potential, but he already has an exciting package and will make an impact in the first team.”
Moro’s promotion reflects AC Horsens’ dedication to developing young talent and fostering diversity within their ranks. The Ghanaian midfielder’s next chapter begins with high expectations as he looks to establish himself in the Danish 1st Division.
