“NDC Pledges to Revive Black Stars’ Glory with 2026 World Cup Push”

A Renewed Hope for Ghanaian Football

As Ghana’s political climate heats up, the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) government has ignited a spark of hope for football fans nationwide. In a bold declaration, Adams Abdul-Salam, Member of Parliament for New Edubiase, announced that president-elect John Mahama is steadfast in his commitment to ensuring the Black Stars’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars, once a dominant force in African football, have faced significant challenges in recent years. Their recent failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) for the first time in two decades marked a low point in the team’s history. Despite these setbacks, the team has shown glimpses of resurgence, currently sitting second in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers with nine points from four games.

Adams Abdul-Salam assured Ghanaians that the NDC government plans to provide comprehensive support and resources to the team. “Qualifying for the 2026 World Cup is our top priority. We will do everything within our power to make it a reality,” he affirmed.

With crucial matches against Chad and Madagascar slated for March 2026, the Black Stars have a golden opportunity to strengthen their campaign. Football fans across the nation are optimistic that the NDC’s promised backing will reignite the team’s glory days.

As the countdown to the World Cup continues, Ghanaians eagerly await the next chapter of their footballing journey, hoping that this pledge will translate into tangible results on the pitch.
