Luton Town’s Resilience on Display as Moses Prepares for Another Test
Victor Moses, the 2013 AFCON champion and seasoned Premier League veteran, has emphasized the challenges of competing in the EFL Championship as Luton Town gears up for a crucial away fixture against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, December 14.
Having joined Luton on a free transfer in September after leaving Spartak Moscow, Moses has quickly established himself as a key player for the Hatters. The former Chelsea wingback was instrumental in their recent hard-fought 2-1 victory over Stoke City, where he earned the man-of-the-match accolade.
The game against Stoke showcased Luton’s fighting spirit. Tom Cannon initially gave the visitors an early lead in the 6th minute with a composed finish past Thomas Kaminski. However, Luton rallied back with a Carlton Morris header in the 24th minute and a dramatic last-minute winner from Elijah Adebayo. The forward reacted quickest to Tom Krauß’s deflected effort, smashing the ball into the top corner to secure all three points.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming trip to Ewood Park, Moses stressed the need for focus and determination:
“When you win a home game, going away again means you have to give that extra 120 percent to get another three points. No game in the Championship is easy, but if we can get another win on Saturday, it would be massive for us.”
Moses has been a consistent presence for Luton this season, making 13 appearances, nine of which he started, and scoring once in a September match against Plymouth Argyle. Luton Town currently sits 14th in the Championship standings with 22 points from 20 games.
As the Hatters look to build on their momentum, Moses’ leadership and experience could prove pivotal in their pursuit of another vital win.
