Antoine Semenyo continued his impressive Premier League form, netting his fifth league goal of the season as Bournemouth secured a stunning 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
The Ghanaian forward was instrumental in the Cherries’ dominant display, scoring in the 63rd minute to extend Bournemouth’s lead. The goal was a result of Semenyo’s own brilliance, as he initiated the move and was perfectly positioned to drive Ouattara Dango’s cutback low past André Onana from 10 yards out.
Semenyo’s strike adds Manchester United to his growing list of victims this season, which already includes Manchester City, Southampton, Everton, and Nottingham Forest.
Bournemouth took the lead in the 29th minute when Dean Huijsen rose above his marker to head home Ryan Christie’s curling free-kick. Justin Kluivert then doubled the advantage from the penalty spot before Semenyo sealed the victory in the second half.
The win marks a significant milestone for Bournemouth, showcasing their attacking prowess and solidifying their position in the league standings.
