Atsu, who tragically passed away on February 6, 2023, during a devastating earthquake in Turkey, left behind a legacy that transcends the football pitch.

Chelsea and Newcastle United, two clubs deeply connected to Atsu’s career, led the tributes. Chelsea shared: “Today we remember Christian Atsu on his birthday,” honoring the winger who, despite not making a competitive appearance for the Blues, remained a cherished part of the club’s history.

Newcastle United, where Atsu enjoyed his most fruitful stint in England, also paid homage. “Today we remember Christian Atsu on his birthday.
