Alhaji Grusah, the owner of Ghana Premier League side King Faisal, has expressed confidence in the future of Ghana’s Sports Ministry under the leadership of President John Mahama. According to him, whoever the President appoints to lead the newly renamed Ministry of Sports and Recreation will excel.
In an interview with Peace FM, Grusah shared his optimism, citing President Mahama’s ability to select capable individuals for key roles. “His Excellency John Mahama doesn’t directly involve himself in football, but reports suggest his son is active in the sport. If he decides to appoint him or someone who will make football work effectively, we will support the decision 100 percent,” he remarked.
Grusah also emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity within the Ministry. “The President knows his tenure depends on teamwork with his ministers. Differences will arise, but they should work with the right people and select a good leader for the Ministry,” he added.
As anticipation builds among sports stakeholders, Grusah’s comments underscore the hope that the Ministry’s new leadership will revitalize sports development in the country.
