Caleb Yirenkyi Nets First Goal as Nordsjaelland Triumph Over Vejle

Teen Midfielder Shines in Danish Superliga Victory

Ghanaian youngster Caleb Yirenkyi celebrated a milestone moment on Friday, March 7, 2025, as he scored his first goal for FC Nordsjaelland in their commanding 3-1 home win against Vejle in the Danish Superliga.

The 19-year-old midfielder capitalized on a rebound in the 82nd minute, slotting the ball home from close range after the opposition goalkeeper failed to clear a powerful shot. His strike put the game beyond Vejle’s reach, cementing a well-deserved victory.

Nordsjaelland started strongly, with Erik Nygren opening the scoring just three minutes into the match, while Sindre added a second in the 53rd minute. Yirenkyi, who was making his seventh league appearance, played the full 90 minutes and delivered an impressive performance in midfield.

The talented teenager joined Nordsjaelland from Ghana’s renowned Right to Dream Academy in March 2024 and is quickly making a name for himself in Denmark.
