Genoa Eye Kamaldeen Sulemana as Southampton Weigh Summer Sale

Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana could be on his way to Italy as Serie A side Genoa express strong interest in securing his services ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Italian outfit is actively reinforcing their squad this summer and has identified the Southampton speedster as a prime target. Genoa are said to be impressed by Sulemana’s flair and pace on the flanks and are exploring a deal to bring him to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Sulemana, 23, featured in 26 Premier League games during the just-ended campaign, scoring once and registering a single assist. Despite his efforts, Southampton endured a disastrous season, finishing bottom of the Premier League with just 12 points and suffering relegation to the Championship.

The Ghana international, who is under contract with the Saints until 2027, now faces an uncertain future. While Southampton are reportedly open to selling him, they have set an asking price of at least €10 million. However, it remains unclear whether the club will greenlight a move or retain the winger for their Championship campaign.

With interest growing and the summer window heating up, Kamaldeen’s next move could define a pivotal stage in his career — whether it’s a new adventure in Serie A or redemption in England’s second tier.
