The presence of Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba added to the scene, as captured in a viral video, showcasing the trio chatting in the tunnel after Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Ivory Coast on January 18.

3) Didier Drogba Amidst ongoing transfer rumors linking Osimhen to Arsenal and Chelsea, the 25-year-old celebrated the Super Eagles’ AFCON win over Cameroon in the company of his ‘idol’ Didier Drogba. A heartwarming moment ensued as Osimhen shared a playful embrace with Drogba before appearing on television together. The African football king paid tribute to the Chelsea legend.

4) Jay-Jay Okocha Former Nigeria captain Austin Jay-Jay Okocha boosted the Super Eagles ahead of their 2023 AFCON clash against Ivory Coast. Okocha visited Osimhen and the players during their dinner, providing much-needed support. The respected retired playmaker’s presence was appreciated by both the players and Super Eagles boss Jose Peseiro. Okocha’s previous casual meeting with Osimhen and teammates after the opening match against Equatorial Guinea further solidified his connection with the squad.
