With Luis Díaz not set to be directly replaced this summer, Liverpool are placing their trust in a promising young talent — 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha.

Instead of dipping into the transfer market, the Reds are opting to give Cody Gakpo more minutes on the left, while adding depth through their academy gem, Ngumoha, who turns 17 in August.

The club’s coaching staff have been thoroughly impressed with the teenager’s performances and professionalism during training sessions. Insiders believe Ngumoha has the talent and mindset to break into the first team sooner rather than later.

Expect to see the exciting youngster in more red appearances under the Anfield lights in the near future.
