Newcastle United are closing in on a move for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, with talks accelerating towards a potential £35 million agreement.
Sources indicate that Wissa’s representatives are travelling to the UK today to finalise terms, following last month’s £25m bid rejection. The 27-year-old has made it clear he wants to leave Brentford and join Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, and is prepared to travel as soon as the green light is given.
Meanwhile, Brentford are already lining up Bournemouth’s Dango Ouattara as a possible replacement, signalling that the Bees are preparing for Wissa’s imminent departure.
