Liverpool have stepped up efforts to secure Ibrahima Konaté’s long-term future, tabling a new contract offer that would reportedly double his current £70,000–£75,000 weekly wage. The French defender, however, is yet to commit, with sources suggesting he is holding out for more.
The Reds are keen to avoid a repeat of the Trent Alexander-Arnold contract saga and have urged Konaté to make a decision before the transfer window closes. While Liverpool remain hopeful of an agreement, there is growing concern that the 25-year-old could be put up for sale if no deal is struck in time.
