“It Always Feels Amazing” – Fatawu Issahaku Delighted After Scoring in Leicester Victory

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku continued his fine start to the season as he scored in Leicester City’s 2-0 triumph over Birmingham City in the English Championship on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian winger needed just eight minutes to break the deadlock at the King Power Stadium, curling a stunning strike into the top corner to ignite the home fans. Leicester went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Although Issahaku was substituted in the 87th minute after picking up a knock, Portuguese defender Roberto Pereira struck moments later to seal the three points for Enzo Maresca’s side.

Issahaku, who also netted in Leicester’s away win against Charlton Athletic, now has two goals in four appearances this campaign—an encouraging start to what he hopes will be a breakout season.

Speaking after the game, the Black Stars forward expressed his joy at finding the net and credited the club’s medical staff for supporting his recovery and form.

> “It’s always amazing having this moment; it’s all about the team. I’m just happy, and we look forward now to after the break, and we go again,” Issahaku said.

“I just want to say thank you to the medical team and my teammates.”

Meanwhile, his compatriot Jordan Ayew led the attack and played the full 90 minutes.

The win moves Leicester City into third place on the Championship table with nine points. They next travel to face Oxford United in round five.
