Otto Addo Visits Injured Black Stars Striker Brandon Thomas-Asante Ahead of World Cup Preparations

Ghana Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has paid a personal visit to Brandon Thomas-Asante, striker for Coventry City, as part of his ongoing preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Thomas-Asante, who plays in the English Sky Bet Championship, has been sidelined since November after sustaining an injury against Middlesbrough. Before his setback, the 25-year-old was in impressive form, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in 17 appearances for Coventry.

Addo’s visit is part of a broader initiative to maintain team cohesion and morale, following similar trips to players including Abdul Mumin, Mohammed Kudus, Kwasi Sibo, Ernest Nuamah, and Mohammed Salisu.

The Black Stars are scheduled to reconvene on March 30 for a friendly against Germany in Stuttgart, marking the start of a key phase in their World Cup preparations.
